Frequently Asked Questions
WILL MY FIBERGLASS POOL CRACK OR POP
OUT OF THE GROUND WHEN DRAINED?
No need to worry about your fiberglass pool popping out of the ground. As professionals, we take the necessary steps to prevent this type of damage. In certain cases, fiberglass pools may require well points to draw out the groundwater that can cause instability around the pool. Our well point system effectively removes surrounding water, preventing any risk of popping or cracking. Not every pool requires well points, and some may need more than one, depending on the circumstances. With our expertise, we ensure both safety and caution when working on your pool. While extreme water pressure can cause issues like cracking or floating, you can rest easy knowing that with our experience and well point systems, your pool is in good hands.
WILL MY PEBBLE POOL CRACK OR POP
OUT OF THE GROUND WHEN DRAINED?
Your concrete pool is designed with a gravel barrier between the shell and the ground below, which helps alleviate pressure from groundwater. As the pool empties, the pressure from the surrounding earth builds up slowly, giving you a sufficient window of time to open the hydrostatic plug located at the bottom of the pool. This plug allows any groundwater that manages to reach the barrier to exit through the plug’s hole, maintaining pressure equilibrium and preventing damage to the pool shell.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE MY PROJECT?
The duration of a repair can vary depending on the type and complexity of the work being done. Here’s a general breakdown:
1. Resurfacing fiberglass and pebble quartz finishes: This typically takes 3 to 5 days, depending on the size of the pool and the condition of the surface.
2. Tile installation, removal, and regrouting: This can take anywhere from 2 to 4 days, depending on the size of the area and the intricacy of the tile design.
3. Skimmer and jet line repairs: Simple repairs may take 1 to 2 days, while more extensive replacements can take up to 3 to 4 days.
4. Pump and filter servicing: This generally takes 1 to 2 days, depending on the issue and the required replacement parts.
Since every repair is different, we provide an estimated completion date after assessing the scope of the work.
